Michele Vreeland has a super-powerful voice. I’m sure she could sing any genre, but her songwriting is beautiful and full of interesting topics. I was really impressed by the ensemble itself. Her guitarist is great! Check out Timothy Weber (guitarist).

TOTALITY is a series of time-lapse films of total solar eclipses, shot through the years in exotic locations around the world. Photographer and composer Billy Mallery calls the project “a lifelong dance with the Moon’s shadow”. He has been praised for his unique approach of creatively placing the eclipsing sun within the scenery, as well as for his accompanying original scores.
Billy hopes to witness and film as many eclipses as possible and then merge them all together into a continuous cinematic and musical journey.

Still Green: AFI Theater June 27th

West Coast Premiere for Still Green at Prestigious Screening Series
On June 27th 3pm at Hollywood’s AFI Theater, the award winning feature Still Green has been invited to premiere on the west coast as part of the Tisch West Alumni Council’s Cinema Club Screening Series. The Cinema Club’s high profile screening series promotes films by prominent New York University alumni on the West Coast.
The series pairs films with their attached alumni guest speakers (actors, directors, writers, producers). The Q&A and receptions following the screenings allow filmmakers, recent graduates, and press to mingle with established industry professionals and the guest speakers. Last year’s season included screenings and guest writers and actors from films such as Get Smart, Hamlet II, and The Eye. This series is exclusive for NYU alumni, but we are delighted to offer this screening of Still Green to the general public.
Coming on the heels of May’s screening of I Love You, Beth Cooper (starring Hayden Panettiere), Still Green is an edgy coming of age film that won Best Narrative Feature at the New England Film/Video Fest, Best Ensemble Cast at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, was rated Best Film Not Yet Released by Boston Critic TC and recently sold to Osiris Entertainment. This screening marks the end of a limited theatrical tour on the east coast. The DVD will be released later this year.
Written by NYU Tisch School of the Arts alumna Georgia Menides ‘99, Still Green is about a group of high school graduates who rent a beach house the summer before going their separate ways. An accident in the ocean tests their friendship, and the teens respond in a way some people find disturbing and others see as a beautiful act of loyalty.
Special guests include Still Green actors Noah Segan (Brick, The Brothers Bloom, Cabin Fever II, What We Do Is Secret, Deadgirl), Ryan Kelley (Mean Creek, Prayers for Bobby), Douglas Spain (Band of Brothers, But I’m a Cheerleader), Director Jon Artigo (Freedom Park, We Got the Beat), and Cinematographer Brian Crane (House MD, Entourage, The Office) as well as other members of the cast and crew.
